Off-Guard at Meeting

Cold water splashed my face, and my body jerked up in attention. I was completely drenched in water. I blinked back the water droplets that had entered my eyes, and I groaned at Maddy as I saw her grinning down at me.
“What the hell?” I groaned as I got up from my sleep, a little pissed and my head pounding. Ugh, I should have never had that goddamned drink.
“Good morning, sunshine,” Maddy said with cheeky insolence.
“What’s wrong?” I asked her as I looked for a towel to dry myself.
“Time for training, sugar! Just because you had your very first drink last night doesn’t mean you don’t have to train anymore. Come on, get up!” she chastised me like an annoyingly caring elder sister.
“Ugh...Fine,” I grumbled in annoyance. I really don’t like to wake up like this.
