The Shock

My entire body went numb when I laid my eyes on him. It was like a shock I never saw coming.

Why is he here? Is he here to trap me?

It had been months since I had seen him, and I had almost forgotten what it felt like to be hurt by him.

The pain and sorrow he used to bring me by hitting me in the face with full force as I tried to adjust to the reality of seeing him here.
