Daniel and I were driving in a luxurious car when I asked him curiously, “So, what usually happens in these balls?”

“You stay by my side and be polite to whoever greets you. We will have dinner, and then we will return,” he answered simply as he looked at me. I swear he has changed the way he looks at me. I have never seen Daniel Howard’s eyes be so...compassionate.
