His Changed Behavior

Just as Daniel closed the door after him, I opened my eyes wide and sat up straight. He was watching me while I was asleep, or let’s say, while I pretended to be asleep. I sensed his presence, and it stirred me up from my sleep. I don’t know how long he has been watching me, but why was he watching me in the first place? My entire room smelled like him, and his scent made my blood rush faster. I could feel my heart pounding but not just in my chest.

I was so grateful for him. He not only let me stay at his place, but he also tended to my wounds, and I can swear on my life no one has ever cared for me as deeply as he did last night.

I brushed my teeth, combed my hair a little, and got out of my room. I looked around his big living area and decided to follow Daniel’s scent, which led me to the kitchen.

He was sitting on the chair opposite the dining table in the kitchen and had his laptop in front of him as he typed profusely.
