Chapter 30. In Vain: Time to Go!
On rare occasions, human souls find demons in the land of the dead. They believe any demon in the land of the dead has come to drag them to hell. To be on the safer side after they captured Max and Jasmine, they tied them to a palm tree.
“Relax,” Jasmine whispered. “Don’t just break loose yet,” she added.
Tying a demon like her to a palm tree isn’t going to restrain her. She’s just acting up and wants Max to play along. Fighting the souls will only make their troubles severe. They have been making enemies since they got here. Making friends would be of help to them.
“Silence!”
Their little conversation was suddenly interrupted by the roaring of the transparent-looking man with a white cape around him, a gold breastplate, and a sword strap around his waist. He looks like he was in charge of the rest of the souls.
