Chapter 62. His Phone
Anna barely had a moment to collect herself before the door swung open. Zac stepped in, his expression unreadable as his eyes flickered between her and Liam. The tension in the room was suffocating, thick with unspoken words and hidden agendas.
He did not know what he had walked in on, but he did not like it. He did not like it at all. “What’s—what’s going on?” He asked, standing by the opened door, trying to figure out what was happening.
“I think Anna would be able to catch you up to speed. I have to leave,” Liam said as he tried to walk past the guy but was stopped. This was comical to him. “Get out of my way, or you will regret it.”
Zac peeled his eyes off Liam and looked at Anna who looked broken; as if she had just watched someone die. Her eyes were filled with shock and fear. So he got out of the way, knowing that the girl needed him even more.
Liam walked out of the apartment and closed the door once he was out.
