The man standing before her was someone she never expected to see here. His presence alone sent a shiver down her spine and caused her heart to drop. 

“Anna…” Vito said, his tone soft and calm. “Um… can we talk?” 

Anna scoffed. “I know that you’re Vito. The thing about the twin brother was just a lie. You didn’t die. By some miracle, you survived.” 

He chuckled. “I guess you have been filled in. Liam told you everything, huh?” He lingered not far from her. 

“He told me everything,” She replied. “He told me how you set me up to take the fall for what you and him are supposed to be arrested for. And that it was a way for you to get payback for what my mom did to you.” 

He smirked. “It’s much more than that, but yeah, that is pretty much it.”
