Chapter 73. The Contracts

Anna and Zac exchanged a quick glance before stepping out of the elevator. Sue’s sharp eyes narrowed as she crossed her arms. “Now what’s going on? Because I can tell by the looks on your faces that something is definitely going on.” 

They stepped out of the elevator and Anna was the one to speak. “We were looking for you.” 

She scoffed. “And for what exactly?” She raised a brow. 

“Because we need to talk.” 

“Is it urgent?” She seemed annoyed, almost as if their presence was an insult to her. “Because I could really be doing other things right now. Time is valuable and I don’t want to waste mine on something that could be an email. So…could this be an email?” 

“Yes,” Zac replied at the same time that Anna replied, “No.” 

She uncrossed her arms and chuckled under her breath. “Which one is it? Is it a yes or a no?” 

“We need to talk to you, Sue. It won’t take much of your time, I promise,” Anna begged.
