Chapter 72. A Formal Day

Zac stared at her, his expression hardening. “Anna, please tell me that you’re joking.” He continued to stare at her. 

She shook her head. “I’m not. I ran into him—literally.” She hesitated before adding, “And we talked.” 

Zac shot up from the couch, pacing. “Damn it, Anna. Do you have any idea what this means? This guy is the devil! You think Liam’s bad, well multiply that by three and it would give you Victor.” 

“He—He didn’t seem dangerous though,” She said quietly. 

Zac turned to her with an incredulous look. “Are you serious? Anna, that’s how he operates! He’s like a green snake in green grass. He’s smart, and calculated. He will make you think you’re safe before he rips your heart out.”
