Chapter 141. A New World

The man stepped into the apartment without a word, his presence filling the space. 

Anna could feel the weight of his gaze as he moved silently behind her, his footsteps almost inaudible. She quickly moved toward her bedroom, her thoughts racing, her hands shaking slightly as she gathered her things.

The urgency of it all pressed down on her, making everything seem surreal. How was any of this real? How was her life real?

Sometimes she just couldn’t wrap her head around it, for real. Mafia bosses. A demon king. Heaven and hell. And the list continues.

How had everything gotten so out of control? Now she was being dragged across the world to a place she didn’t want to be, doing things she didn’t want to do, all for a man who treated her like a pawn in his game.

She cursed under her breath as she pulled and grabbed her already packed suitcase.. She just needed to leave. Get out of here before she loses her mind completely.

The man stood in the doorway
