Chapter 36. The Castle
Anna finally peeled her eyes off the flowers and locked eyes with the demon king. He had a look on his face that she knew but could not decipher at that moment.
But it was a look that was good; that was what she knew.
“See? I told you it wasn’t so bad down here,” he chuckled. “So now, let’s check out the other places before you return.” He flashed her a smile.
Anna felt like Zac was being very nice and thoughtful, and she did not know how to feel about that. It was something that she did not expect.
He was the demon king; he was supposed to be evil, heartless, and wicked. That was what he expected from him, so when he was this way, her heart told her that it could all just be an act.
