Chapter 35. Dead Flowers

Anna sipped some of her coffee before taking the cup from her lips. “No, there’s no way.” She shook her head. “There is no way that Armano is going to help us. He seems loyal, very loyal.”

“That’s probably why Vito wants another version of him,” her father chipped in, his tone having a hint of hurt.

Her mom gave him a look before focusing back on her. “He’s my son. He’s your half-brother.” She looked at Kevin before looking back at Anna.

“Yeah, but he’s a ruthless mafia. He’s too good at it to the point that his father wants a carbon copy of him,” Kevin explained as he took a spoon full of cereal and put it in his mouth.

“But we need a plan. I don’t know what to do,” Mrs Hall seemed frustrated. “We can’t go to the police. They won’t be able to help us. Vito has people everywhere.”

“And there is no way I’m letting you get pregnant for that man while we have a family and are married,” Mr. Hall made that clear.
