The mere sight of Armano had Anna’s heart dropping to her stomach. She went in front of her brother, holding her arms up as a way to protect him, as if that would even work against someone like her half-brother.

Armano was not even giving her his attention. He was more concerned about Carlos. “I asked a question: what are you doing?”

“I… I…” Carlos was caught in the moment. He was almost done with Kevin and just needed a few more seconds. “How did you find me?” he asked something that he genuinely wanted to know but also wanted to use the question as a way to buy him more time.

Yes, he wanted to impress his father and even Armano, but he did not want to be a killer, and if Kevin died, he would surely be one.

“I got a tracker on your phone and a few other things that you own, but that’s not the issue here. What are you doing, little brother?”

“Little brother?” Anna said in shock at the same time that her mother said, “What the hell?” Everyone was confuse
