Chapter 50. Dario's Truth

I wake up early but without Marco by my side. I'm still unsure what is happening or why I agreed to stay. It was a foolish choice to make so quickly, yet with Marco, quick is the only option I have. His presence makes me rush.

After showering and dressing, I walk out. I want to find Marco. He disappeared, and I need to know what this whole thing means moving forward. I look towards Hugh, but he doesn't speak.

"Really? Usually, you're quick to tell me where he is." I laugh slightly. He usually quickly tells me where Marco is, but apparently, he won't today.

"Right now, he needs space, Miss Salvadore." Hugh's words are simple, and he keeps his face turned away from me as he speaks. He said he needed space. Which tells me he is running, so space right now isn't a good thing.

"I can just search every room until I find him." I insist. I begin walking to the office, with Hugh following at a distance. Does he really plan to follow me around rathe
