Chapter 4. Franky Ruins the Day
I see Aaron hugging the second-richest man on earth. He seems so wise for his age. He was married, and his wife and children stand behind him.
"Good, good to see you! Why don't you come to visit India? We welcome you with open arms!" Saying, Aaron chuckles while nodding.
"Certainly, sir! You shall be receiving me and my girlfriend soon in your beautiful country! So rich in culture!" All I know is that he wants to try out the many, culture-rich dishes made there. He is as eager as me, I admit shamelessly.
"Sure, good man! Let me know when you shall be arriving." He says, patting his back as the two teenage kids of his look at me with wide eyes. I smirk, they must have known my identity through their internet sexcapades.
"Aaron, I'm hungry," I say to him.
"Yes, my queen. This is our event. Go help yourself, I'll catch up quickly." Kissing my cheek, attaching a bit of my makeup to his lips, we chuckle and part ways.
I was serving myself a plate full of delicious meals. I wasn't trying to hold back, even if a little tummy peaked out of my dress and disfigured me for the night and pictures.
I join some of the women, they notice my body proportions to recognize me. Soon, they discuss amongst themselves and leave the table. I didn't find it peculiar, nor was it anything new. I continue my business either way.
A few moments pass by as I feel a hand on my shoulder.
It was ... "Franky-" I was about to scream his name and alert the person who knows about this.
I feel insecure. I haven't told Aaron the entire story that happened 2 years ago on our date night. Our first date night.
Why does he have to appear at every one of our big events and ruin it? I was growing sick of this man now. My words were shut when he shows me the blade of the knife crinkling against the bright lights like a piece of art.
"Stop it. It's useless. You have time to"
"I don't have time to turn into a good person, Ravine. Thanks to you, I've got a scar on my thigh which keeps reminding me of the revenge I must seek from you." He says. I couldn't stop him from sitting next to me. I helplessly look around, tears forming once I notice no one will ever help me from this situation.
Franky places his arm over my shoulder, on the chair as he uses his hand to swipe over my thighs with the knife. It was piercing and tickling my thighs at the same time. I could feel the goosebumps.
I look around again, being judged by many women and men as they see his hand over my leg. They must think I was such a desperate bitch to leave Aaron out of the party and hook up publicly with a movie actor. They can never be more wrong than this.
Tears of fear form and bleed through my eyes.
"Please... don't do this," I beg him. I held my head down, trying my best not to cause a scene.
Suddenly, people were being silenced by something. I could feel someone's presence emerge from my back.
It was Aaron.
He was rolling his tie in his arm, I didn't need to think twice before twisting Franky's arm and taking the knife away from him. The people gasp at me, all their ill opinions quickly diluting.
"He tried to hurt me not once, but twice!" I yell to Aaron. For us, the whole world seemed to fade away as we both stared at Franky. He limped his way, I was almost too sure Aaron was building his anger to kill this man with just one punch to his pathetic throat.
"Arrest him, please. Don't- Aaron, Don't!" I scream at the top of my lungs. Aaron was already making Franky fly in the air with his punches and kicks. I gasp, my hands over my mouth as I watched Franky being severely violated in front of everyone.
"Someone stop him!" Mr. Javed comes to their aid when everyone was watching them, including me.
Soon, the security and the police arrive. There were even witnesses of the knife he held. There was no escape for him, however rich he may be.
The party was dismissed.
Aaron and I sat over the stairs, behind us were emptiness and decorations being brought back down. The party ended halfway, but we damn cared.
I rub his back gently whilst he gulped the bottle of water.
He shakes his head in displeasure.
"Thank god you're alright." He says, hugging my waist. He brings me to sit on his lap whilst the moon shone on us. We look into the abyss as I kiss his cheek.
"Thank you, my love. I- I honestly don't know what would have happened to me if I just kept quiet about it. I was a fool to not alert anyone."
"It's not your fault. I've seen the women of rich classes move away when you sat. I feel so sorry for you-"
"You know that I'm used to this treatment."
"I will change everything for you, love. Please let me be your guard. Take me with you anywhere you go. Not a second will pass without me around you, alright? I'm sorry." He says, kissing my hair as I smile and melt in his embrace.
He cradles me, despite my uncomfortable dress, and sits across on his lap.
"Let's go home. I'm done for today. The party was a little boring for me anyways." Saying, the man carries me the way he had me sit and we walk towards the one car left.
Reaching home, I take a long warm bath and dress myself in the best piece of warm and fuzzy nightwear. Aaron jumps into the bed, a ton of messages popping up as he opens his phone.
I hug him while his phone light was blinding me.
"We're already into the news." Says he as I squint to see through the screen.
"I couldn't expect less. I wanna see the shit they will spiral against this virgin news story." I say as he chuckles loudly. His deep voice that rumbles in his chest calms me. He places his phone away, hugging me tightly.
