“What the hell is that?” Mikon whisper-yelled.
“Most likely who the hell is that?” Jun corrected his friend. It was a few minutes to midnight; he could tell this by observing the moon’s direction. It was dim, but he clearly made out the form of a person sprawled onto the dirt in the shallow pit.
“Is it dead? If it’s dead, let’s leave it be. I don’t want to get into any trouble,” Akuzi stated, the beginnings of a tremor coating his voice.
“Yeah, man. I’m with Akuzi on this one. We should go,” Mikon agreed.
Jun couldn’t remove his eyes from the unconscious figure. It was so frail and fair, with a red shawl wrapped around its head.
He noted, “But it was screaming like...like a young girl.”
