Chapter 13. His Fury
The old man was just teaching James a lesson. He didn’t want to kill him. After he has proven to James who’s in charge, he released James from his grip and lets him slump to the ground.
Lacey steeled her failing nerves and breathed out a puff of cold air and sprang back to her feet. She snarled with hate in her eyes. Even though she’s outnumbered by these furious creatures, she isn’t backing down without a fight.
She hops across the rock and stood her ground like a predator stalking its prey. Lacey snarled once more and propels herself into the air aiming to pounce at the old man. Her pointy fangs are out and ready to puncture the old man’s neck from behind.
A long doleful cry escaped the lips of one of the werewolves. Since the old man turned his back on Lacey, he has no idea of what’s coming to him. The best the werewolf could do to signal him was to release a pitched howl.
