Chapter 27

"Alex!" Mia screamed out just before her mouth was covered by one of the masked men. Alex looked in her direction, and with a speed as lightning, rushed over to where the men were. They fired arrows in his direction, and he evaded every one of them. None of the arrows pierced into his skin.

He slayed the men in his way trying to stop him from getting to Mia. Before the masked man could attack him, he subtly thrust his sword into his ribcage in order not to hurt Mia. The masked man stumbled, and Mia bit into his hand. He let go of her groaning from the pain of Alex's blade. Mia ran behind Alex, and Alex stood in front of the masked man who had fallen on his knees.

"Who sent you?" He asked him.

"I will not tell you," the man replied Alex without fear.

Alex tried not to get angry. "I'll ask one last time, who the fuck sent you?" He asked again, his tone was a bit harsher than before.
