Chapter 28

Mia wondered why Alex stopped all of a sudden, and she walked closer to him. She gasped as she saw the dead body, and she stumbled back in perplexity and anguish.

Grey lowered down and stared at the old man lying lifelessly on the floor. "Is this the medicine man?" He asked Reynold who was now standing beside him.

"Yes, but, he was fine yesterday when we met him and when we left. He was even excited to be acquainted with you," Reynold replied, looking very confused. He got frightened to the extent that he feared Alex would accuse him of the medicine man's death.

Alex checked the pulse of the man, and he confirmed that he was dead. "Look around for anything strong enough for evidence. We need to know if he died a natural death or was killed," he said to Reynold.

Reynold nodded and started looking for evidence. Alex examined the dead man and noticed that he had no cuts or sword wounds. Neither was there any blood on him.
