"Why?" Mia asked in surprise, her dampened mood suddenly getting brightened.

"You do not want to see your parents?" He asked as he stared at her.

"That's not it. I'm just surprised that you brought it up," she replied.

"Is there ever a reason to see your parents?" He asked her again, playing dumb to what she was saying. He was pretending like he did not get what she was becoming inquisitive about.

"No, but, it came out of the blue, Alex, and it's from you. It's quite surprising," Mia replied.

"Me too. I'm quite shocked that Alex is heading to the Diamond Shadow pack," Hendrix added.

Alex shrugged. "I feel you need to see them, that's all," Alex said and then continued as he turned to Mia. "Do you not want to see your parents?" He asked her.

"Of course I do," she replied to him.

"Then, get ready. After breakfast, we'll go and see them," he replied, and Hendrix was taken aback by this urgent decision of Alex.
