Chapter 106
Seven’s POV
“Going upstairs to rest.” I threw it out to Sean. He nodded but didn’t bother looking up from what he was doing.
It was time to get my head in order. Shantelle might try to give me the same energy I gave her during the day at school, but I won’t allow that to happen.
If I needed to speak to her, I would be doing that without looking at what she was trying to do. She might think that I would put up with her bullshit, but this wasn’t the time to do that.
“Are you home now?” My phone lit up with her text like she was waiting for me to come inside my room so she could text me.
I won’t be texting her back because I wanted to hear what her voice sounded like. She was angry with me when I left her house, but that didn’t mean she didn’t care.
This was one example of what I was trying to say: she cared enough to want to reach out to me to know if I had gotten home.
