Chapter 111
Seven’s POV
“What are you doing here?” she asked.
He didn’t answer her, but I knew that I wouldn’t be going anywhere because I was interested in knowing why she was afraid of him and why she looked so pale all of a sudden.
I knew she wasn’t herself, but that didn’t mean that all the blood on her face should just leave; there must be something he had done to her that made her that way.
I didn’t know if coming out of the car was going to poke her—she was already dealing with a lot—and the scary man seeing me might not be okay for her.
I didn’t want to put her in a position where she wouldn’t be able to explain to whoever he was who I was, so I would just stay here and see where this was going, because if I left now, I wouldn’t be able to sleep until I was certain that she was okay, and texting isn’t the same thing as seeing face to face.
This was better for me; I would be here to see how it ends.
