Chapter 17
Shantelle’s POV
Keshon was seated. Her face was still pale, but I wasn’t about to talk about it. She was stronger than me. I wouldn’t have left my house if I was in this position she was in. I was selfish and didn’t care about what people did or why I should be concerned about what affected them.
It wasn’t my business, and I didn’t fail to remind them.
“You can tell me what you want to talk about,” Keshon said.
It was like she knew I was lost in my thoughts, and she wanted us to talk, or she didn’t want me to notice that she looked so tired and pale that I almost didn’t know I was looking at her.
“Are you sure?” I asked.
I couldn’t wait to tell her about what I was so eager to tell her, but if she insisted on hearing me, then I would tell her. Maybe it was going to help her take her mind off what she was thinking about.
“I am. Let’s talk about it now,” Keshon said.
She looked at me like she had been waiting for me to talk.
