Chapter 18

Seven’s POV

Shantelle wasn’t how Sean described her. She was far from what he had told me that she was going to be.

It was either he didn’t get his information from the right source, or he did this to pull me down. I didn’t want to come to this place. I hated leaving my life in Atlanta.

I hated the life over here. I grew up here; then, we had to leave here before I could form any bond.

It was either this, or I wouldn’t be able to continue with my curiosity for the art world.

Sean told me that I had to do this because we were supposed to get revenge. I could remember the conversation we had before I had to leave Atlanta.

“Why aren’t you the one doing this?” I asked him.

Why must I be the one who was going to another city because he wanted to avenge our father? I wanted to do the same thing, but I wanted to do it from the sideline.

“Because I am not a teenager anymore,” Sean answered without looking up from his computer.
