Chapter 48
Seven’s POV
“Up for the party tonight?” Alia’s text came in the moment I got to my room.
I wouldn’t have chatted her back, but I needed the distraction. I was mad at my brother, and she might be the only one I could text now without feeling bad about what I was going to say to her. I wasn’t going to any party, but I was going to talk to her. She was going to keep me busy; that was all I wanted for now.
“I don’t think I want to be out of my house,” I replied.
It was strange to me because it would have been easy for me to leave here and not be in the same space with Sean, but it didn’t matter. I didn’t want to hang out with her or her goons. That was all I knew for now. I didn’t know if anything could change my mind, but I didn’t want to be rigid with myself.
“Why?”
It took a while before she replied like she was busy with something or someone. I could never tell. She didn’t talk about her personal life, but she was always quick to talk about
