Chapter 49
Seven’s POV
“Hello.” Her voice was low; where was she? I couldn’t help but ask myself. I didn’t know if I wanted to know where she was, but I would like to know the main reason why she was calling me.
I was done with being downstairs and went back to my room.
“Hi, Shantelle,” I finally answered. I didn’t want her to think that I was purposely being silent. If she wanted something, she would have to say it and be done with it. I wasn’t ready to be in a phone conversation with her; it was time to go to bed. I was always of the opinion, “Early to bed, early to rise.”
“Will you be coming to the party?” she asked. It was a whisper, but I knew she wasn’t whispering. She was uncertain if she should ask me the question. It was funny how I immediately texted no to Alia but was indecisive with Shantelle. I knew I didn’t want to go to the party, but persuasion from her might do the trick.
