Chapter 279. No Idea

Mukhtar received the caregiver’s call just as he got to his mother’s neighbourhood.

“Hello, Mr. Waris. Your mother is not doing well. I have called the hospital and they told me they are on their way but I... I need you to know. She is really not doing well.”

Mukhtar had no idea how he got to his mother’s place without having an accident. In fact, he had no recollection of what had happened after he received the call.

He got to his mother’s place in a rush, jumping out of his car without putting the ignition off, rushed in, and met the caregiver, who was trying to do everything possible to make his mother comfortable while the househelp was going in and out to bring whatever the caregiver thought they could use to alleviate her pain.

“What was it? What happened?” Mukhtar shouted in agitation as he rushed in. The caregiver stepped aside, and Mukhtar sat on his mother’s bed, lifting her head onto his lap.

“What happened? Why is she like this?” he asked
