I decided to go for the most obvious thing that might keep Christian calmer:
“I don’t think so, I know he’s over forty. Neither of them has ever told me anything about their private life… it’s funny, psychologists want to know everything about you, but they rarely tell you anything about themselves,” I commented.
“What does age have to do with it? As if that were going to prevent him from doing anything; he is forty, not eighty.”
“Chris, why don’t you just go and ask her out, if you’re so interested?”
He tensed immediately, and a glint of terror in his green eyes made me frown in confusion, but we ended the conversation when Nika, Hilda, and Richie said goodbye to Rhiannon and Sebastian to go to the elevator.
