Chapter 23

Sophia’s POV

We started heading to the top of the castle while still looking for Camilla with the belief that she may not have been taken, but was rather was just somewhere in the castle enjoying some alone time. We climbed and climbed but it seemed like we weren’t getting anywhere.

“Just how big is this castle?” Elijah asked, “My legs are killing me.”

“Same here,” James responded, “we’ve been climbing for over an hour now.”

“But the castle didn’t seem that big from the outside,” I said.

“Must be some sort of ability the guy has,” Lucas said.

“Hmmm,” James thought with a pause, “you do have a point, after all he already used manipulative techniques on you guys before.”

“Yeah and there’s no guarantee that he won’t do it again,” Lucas said.

“That’s if he’s not already using it,” Derek added, “I mean, it’s obvious that we’ve been climbing these stairs for way longer than is supposed to be necessary.”

“It could be some sort of
