Chapter 19. Iris Avoids Nick

The next day, Nick was very restless and cranky the whole day. Darren wasn't at home, so he went to spend the day at Sean and Stuart's house. He didn't understand the strange craving he had to meet Iris. The need to climb up to her room again like last time was so strong that he had a hard time controlling his urges. He wanted to pull her into his arms and show her that they were meant for much more than just friendship.

"Hey, Nick, why are you sulking, dude?" asked Denver as they sat playing video games in the living room.

"Have you ever felt a strange restlessness?" asked Nick.

"Yeah, I know the feeling. I feel it every time I see Sapphire's dad," he told him. Sapphire was the girl living opposite upon whom Denver had a hopeless crush, but her dad was a cop and always caught him red-handed.

"What? You feel like kissing her dad?" asked Nick with a laugh.

"Oh, that restlessness? I feel it all the time when I'm around Aurora," said Daxton, Denver
