Chapter 21. Separated from Her

Before Sapphire could say a word, a throat cleared behind them. Denver looked up to see Stuart glaring at them. 

"Den, ma's calling you just now," said Stuart. Denver stared at him with horror. What had he done now? He released Sapphire immediately. 

"What's up, bro?" asked Denver, worried. 

"Go inside and find out," said Stuart with a grim face. Sapphire ran inside to Vienna's side, her heart racing with panic. Denver followed a tensed Stuart inside. His parents were waiting in their room, so he just went up. He realized he was about to get a warning to stay away from Sapphire, maybe. This had to be serious else Stuart wouldn't be so tensed. He opened the door of his parent's room. He saw them sitting inside with solemn expressions on their faces as they waited for him.

"Yes, ma, Dad, did you call me?" he asked, peeping inside.

"Yes, come inside and close the door," said his dad. Denver did as asked and sat down on the bed beside his
