Chapter 28. Agreeing to Return to Houston
Denver stood there at the window, trying to scan the entire area with his binoculars. He had bought all the gear he had to aid in the investigation so that he could protect Sapphire better. He adjusted his binoculars properly and continued his scrutiny of every building and window directly opposite to theirs. Their window was located just beside the balcony. Since the bullet came from the opposite direction, there was a possibility that he might detect the place from where the gunshot took place. He continued his scan, but couldn't find a thing.
He was about to give up when his eyes caught the glint of something metallic in one window. The building wasn't exactly opposite to theirs, but behind the opposite one. The window in question had access to their building's front gate.
