Chapter 28. Victoria Leaves Home Forever

Ryan sat at the window of his room and looked out dejectedly at Victoria, walking away with a broken heart. Her drooping shoulders and shattered face were clearly visible under the moonlight. He felt a stab pierce his heart at seeing her. Her pale face and the way she staggered towards the road made him rethink what he had done.

Was she sick? Did she really need something? Was she in trouble? Why would she come to him if it wasn’t absolutely necessary? He sighed as he watched her take a cab and disappear forever from his life. He knew he should have been happy that he had got rid of her for good, but he wasn’t.
