Chapter 39. Abducted on Their Wedding Day

“Stop the car immediately. Who are you?” yelled Nate, but before he could manhandle Chris, he took out a gun from inside his jacket and pointed it at Nate’s head. The car swerved wildly and Nate sat back, scared.

“Don’t act smart with me. It won’t take me long to pull the trigger I’m dying to,” threatened Chris menacingly. 

“Why are you doing this, Chris? What will you gain?” yelled a panicked Claire. 

“So, you’ve recognized me!” exclaimed Chris.

“Obviously, who else would be so crazy?” Said Claire. 

“Yes, I’m crazy about you. If you had married me, I wouldn’t have been forced to take this step,” said Chris impatiently, increasing his speed to evade Denver and his team, who were following him. 

“I’m already married to Nate. So, stop this madness immediately,” said Claire. Chris laughed out loud, placing his gun down on his lap as he maneuvered the car.
