Chapter 9. Sean's Strange Behaviour

Lunch was ready, and Vienna was laying the table when Sean sauntered into the house. He stopped dead in his tracks when he saw Vienna laughing and working with his mom. She looked so happy, unlike the times when she was with him. He saw Drake following her around like a lost puppy, helping her and stealing the food that she made. He again started feeling jealous.

He went up to the table and sat down near Vienna. His ma looked at him and frowned. "Sean, wash your hands before you eat," she said, but to his frustration, Vienna didn't even look at him. He got up and followed her into the kitchen to wash his hands in the kitchen sink.

"Why are you doing this?" he asked her, standing behind her as she emptied the contents of the stir-fry into a glass casserole.

"Doing what?" she asked him, puzzled, without looking at him.
