Chapter 30

I don't want to go. This is a bad idea. I paced in my bedroom. The gathering is in less than three hours and is set to last way until the sunrise. At first I had been living in a world of fiction in my mind. I had pushed the nervousness and worry in the back of my mind by the help of a book and company. Now every suppressed feeling was rushing through me hitting me like a lightning bolt and I shuttered at the thought of being persuaded around to the who's who's of the Shifter society.

I don't know anything about politics, I didn't even know the names of the council members, I was not schooled in the fine art of female shifter manners, I was a savage to them and they might laugh and scorn me.

A knock on the door rang through and then it opened, revealing Aurora. She was wearing the light blue dress that Nana Hellen had originally picked out for me but had changed her mind curtesy of Henry.
