The room grew still for a moment when they noticed Killian behind me. Emma took a step back, her face tightening into a forced smile as she stared up at my mate.
“Why so mad, Killian? I was only talking to your beautiful mate. I was actually about to say that she looks a bit familiar,” Claude spoke up.
I was fully convinced now that the Seelie prince either had a death wish or simply loved to cause chaos wherever he went. I hadn’t looked at him. I hadn’t looked at Claude until he spoke. He looked familiar. I could sense something, but I couldn’t place my finger on it. My wolf stirred. She had been thinking the same, but her mood was different.
He was familiar, like home—and that frightened my wolf and me to death.
“Dinner is starting. Why don’t you sit with your mother? I bet she’s dying to feed you, if you’ll excuse me,” Kill
