Chapter 5
The day arrived, and as soon as the sun rose, not a minute later, I was ready. I was finally able to pay the utilities, so I could use the shower, and as soon as I got out of the shower, I went straight to the kitchen to prepare breakfast. Besides, I was going to prepare Sofia’s favorite food: pancakes with honey. I wanted to bring them to her and make her feel at home.
I just had to wait for Mireya. She was going to take me to see my little daughter. Sitting by the window, I was ready, or at least I felt ready to be happy again, if only for a moment, next to my little girl.
Mireya had finally arrived in her car. I quickly left my house to get into the car, and she greeted me with a kiss, complimented my clothes, and smiled.
