“My mom is a water woman. My father was a palace servant, and they had me. Long story short, she was killed after she left me with my father. She widened her eyes when, rather than yell her head off as she had expected, Ash pulled her closer to him, giving her a forehead kiss. “You saved my kingdom. How can I ever repay you?”
