Chapter 30. You Made Your Choice

“Finally!” Valerie said in the darkness of Wayne’s room, as she shifted more comfortably on his bed. “The bitch has decided to bring my man home to me!”

Wayne was smiling as he climbed the stairs to his room. The evening had been a huge success at least after the Lycan king’s announcement.

They had gone to dinner after convincing Alexa, to cool of steam from. He had enjoyed watching Alexa laugh. So he made jokes after jokes so that she would be distracted from her sorrows and laugh a lot more!

He got to his door and stopped. He looked at the door leading to Alexa’s room. They had already wished each other goodnight but he felt like seeing her again before he finally retired but hesitated.

‘I don’t want her to feel like I am pestering her. Tomorrow is another day,’ he thought and opened the door to his room.
