Not ready for the truth
Shirley was still mad at the fact that she had been insulted by Genie and even if she wanted to do anything to her she had no chance.
But maybe she could just stalk and frighten Genie for a bit.
Shirley had been struggling with feelings of jealousy and inadequacy for some time now since Genie had started pole dancing. She felt like no matter how hard she tried or how perfect her technique was, Genie would always be better. This feeling started to consume Shirley and she began to become angry and resentful.
After weeks of watching Genie outshine her, Shirley was overcome with rage. She wanted to prove that she was just as good and competent as Genie, but it seemed that no matter what she did, Genie had the upper hand.
In frustration, Shirley began to lash out at Genie. She would insult her ability and question her decisions. She did this in an attempt to belittle Genie to make herself look better.
