Book 1: Chapter 32

"Miss, please open the door," Maria yelled banging the door louder this time. She had been trying to get into Gabriella's room since last night but the door was locked from inside. 

Maria had reported the issue to Alejandro and Alejandro advised that she allowed her rest, he briefly explained the drowning situation and Maria could only feel sorry for her.

She just seemed to be getting into trouble every single day since her arrival here, she wouldn't have still bothered to come to check on her but today was the day Gabriella was to meet with Lombardi. 

The Lombardi's had already arrived and it wouldn't be long before they would request for Gabriella's presence. 

Maria knocked again on the door, "Please Miss, don't make me use the key. You haven't eaten since yesterday, please," Maria pleaded but she got no response. 

"I am coming in Miss," Maria said reaching into her pocket to retrieve the key to the door. 

Maria slid the
