Chapter 112. Homecoming 

“Ouch! That hurts,” Carter grunts as Lara helps him to his feet.

“What? I just needed the right motivation, and you, my friend, gave it to me,” she shrugs, her eyes gleaming with mischief.

“Glad I could help, but those hits were personal, weren’t they?” He says, wincing as the pain courses through his body. His surprise is evident; how she managed to transform him back into a human remains a mystery, something almost impossible for someone who just discovered her wolf. Maybe it’s because she is a Luna, or perhaps something more?

“Maybe they were, maybe they weren’t,” Lara replies, giving him a sly grin as they continue their training, loud grunts and groans trailing the space.

After the session, she heads to the shower. And soon, the hot water washes over her, wearing away the sweat and grime. While the steam envelops her, her mind drifts back to Chris and their kids. Her heart melts and a feeling of guilt torments her. She has been keeping them in the
