Chapter 121. Checkmate
Lara places her hand on her head, trying her best to control the beast within her. She rushes toward the wood from the back door, for no one must see her.
Her nails start to grow longer, her kneecaps bending. She stumbles upon a log and falls, grunting in pain, not from the fall, but from the tormenting pain of her transformation. Her clothes begin to rip off and tear. She grunts in anguish, struggling to get far from the party.
Her head keeps spinning, her human body weakening by the second. The moonlight fully shines on her, and she transforms into her wolf form and takes full eminence. She howls at the moon, disturbing the peace of the wild, scaring some animals, and alerting Carter.
She runs wild in her wolf form, unable to control herself. The raw, primal, wolf takes over, attacking other creatures in the woods. She is more aggressive than when she first transformed, and even more deadly. With no mercy, she devours every creature in her sight.
