Chapter 76. Choose
The cozy ambiance of a dirty-yellow Chinese restaurant sits well with her as she peruse the menu. The place is dimly lit and yellow bulbs with the shape of lanterns have been planted on the walls. The seats are soft and brown and synchronous with the color of the table mat and cloth.
Lara passes her gaze from the rich menu to the pristine-white flat ceramic place in front of her, the chopsticks, then to Kim who is sitting directly opposite her, clad in a white feathery blouse and matching cooperate trousers. Her hair has beep neatly brushed and curled, some strands dangling on her face, kissing her pink glossy lips.
“I do not think I have an appetite for noodles. I think we should have some soup. What do you think?” Lara begins, sounding cheerful. Kim rolls her eyes.
“Come on, Lara. Pick whatever you want. I have to get back to work.”
“I thought we agreed to have launch together today?” Lara complains, her face folded like a sad puppy. “You promised.”
