Chapter 47. The Storm Hits

It felt like the calm before the storm, and all Selena could do was wait. All she could do was wait for the lightning and thunder; for the hurricane of the blonde girl to strike.

But…nothing. Cassie simply stared and chuckled under her breath. Then she shook her head lightly and turned her attention to her phone that was now in her hand.

Selena released a shaky breath, a bit annoyed that she was being ignored. She knew she was in no way ready for the wrath of the blonde girl, but she really wanted her to at least say something.

What if Elijah wouldn’t have forgiven her? What if things would have still been the same? That would have meant that her sister would have no financial support and would likely have slowly started to die.
