Chapter 77. Dread

Beta Leon pocketed his phone, then he tried to wake the Omega once more. But he finally gave up and decided to carry her inside. He carefully got her out of the car and into his arms, carrying her toward the mansion. As soon as he entered, he met the Alpha.

“Gosh, you guys sure took your sweet time,” Maddox said, chuckling. Then his eyes landed on the Omega. “Is she—is she okay?”

Leon flashed a small smile as he stood there. “She’s just tired. It’s been a very long day for her,” he responded.

The Alpha nodded, taking a step closer. “Can I?” He gestured toward the girl’s sleeping form.

“Oh, of course,” the Beta replied before carefully handing her over.

“Thank you,” Maddox whispered in return after he had taken Selena into his arms. He turned and carried her to her room, gently placing her on the bed.
