Chapter 82

Gabbie POV

“I got a ten-dollar tip!” I flashed the brand-new dollar in front of Emery’s face.

She frowned.

“What table did you wait for?”

“New guys. I hope they come back.”

Emery placed her chin in her hand and exhaled. Her dark pigtails dangled on either side of her face in shiny coils.

“Lucky you. All I got was a coupon for doughnuts from Mr. Olsen.”

“At least we made rent before the month ends!” I beamed.

“Yeah, so a little treat tonight won’t hurt.”

I nibbled on my bottom lip. The full moon was tonight and for the past four months when the moon came around I got sick. I got churning pains and jabs coming from my stomach. My doctor visits proved pointless they couldn’t figure out what was wrong with me.

It had been going on for four months which told me it wasn’t going to stop until something happened. When I called my Dad three weeks ago he told me to be ready for what this full moon had to offer.
