Scarlett’s POV
I didn’t know where my wolf was headed, running at full speed in the woods. She whimpered in the dark, her heart heavy just like mine. Our mate had drilled a hole in our hearts the words he had uttered back at the cabin speared across my chest. I could feel her pain, and confusion and so could I feel the anger my other side possessed.
I had shifted into my wolf the moment something wicked had gripped my senses. I couldn’t let my warlock side take over, I was still unstable and unaware of what my powers could do under stress.
