Stavros’s POV 

Snow crunched behind me and I slowly turned around to face my best buddy, Zephyrus Averoff. I had sensed his presence before he even reached me. 

“Hey!” I smiled as he embraced me briefly. I knew how he was feeling right now, as I was feeling the same. After years, we were standing at our favorite place overlooking our territory. My throat was choked with feelings and so was his. 

“Are you alone? Where are the others?” I swallowed the emotional upheaval threatening to overflow. This wasn’t the time for emotions. As Beta of the Luceres Pack, I had an important mission to undertake. 

“We’re all here. We’ve attacked the southern boundaries of Lucania and ousted the enemy from there. The others are busy preparing for the attack. Tomorrow night is the eve of the Bonding Ceremony when Alpha Ajax, the weakling, will take over as leader of the pack. Alpha Atticus is planning to retire. With all the pack members busy
